I know this was already dismissed as not planned/low priority, but I'd still love for this to be runable as a single bridge either creating two admin rooms, or One room with commands like login-fb and login-ig.

There was also some talk that encryption might be powered by whatsmeow and WhatsApp might be a part of this bridge's code. I doubt that's in any short term plans, though.

I'd love to see an improvement/alternative in the current authentication.

One mentioned way was using some kind of electron app using Facebook's API.

The only way is the website, Electron is just a way to automate collecting cookies after logging in. Technically a browser extension could do that too, but to be safe it'd also need to clear cookies afterwards.

Anyway, electron apps and browser extensions are out of scope for the bridge and should live in separate repos

What I understood from your message two days ago in meta maunium matrix room is that a WebUI like mautrix-facebook is not planned, like at all.

I suppose there are two ways to think about this:

1. A single user can log in with both IG and FB on the same bridge
2. A single user can log in with either IG or FB on the same bridge. If federation between IG and FB happens, this could give us shared group chat portals.

If you can do two different schemas of users, of that's desired? I don't know the spec that well enough (at all)
