cos | Maybe that can be changed in future release? | 11:04:47 |
cos | It would also be useful to see list of all bridged / visible rooms as bot command (already made a issue about it) | 11:05:17 |
tulir | In reply to @cos:hacklab.fi Maybe that can be changed in future release? probably not | 11:06:15 |
tulir | support for a bridge-wide discord bot that isn't bound to a specific account might happen though | 11:06:26 |
cos | that would solve this and probably many other problems | 11:06:53 |
Sami Olmari | In reply to @tulir:maunium.net support for a bridge-wide discord bot that isn't bound to a specific account might happen though I was just about to think wasn't this (concept) on the table for generally relaybot bridges | 11:06:56 |
cos | I understand the bridge is primarily for personal puppet bridging, but for organizational bridging support for relaybot management is important | 11:07:55 |
Sami Olmari | As we indeed have an relaybot (matrix) user used for many bridgres needing set-relay for bigger organizational things, the need for such indeed is high. While any user can still do "personal" set-relays if they wish to do so | 11:09:39 |
Sami Olmari | With this there mainly comes the need for logging int with relaybot user, which in turn then has everything which is not best for privacy while obivously we choose carefully who we let to login with such user | 11:19:33 |

cos | Confirmed; bridge restart invites the relaybot user back | 11:32:10 |
Sami Olmari | Exept not (yet?) in the jkl channel we have, bridging still works.. but conceptually this happened for some channels | 11:33:42 |
Sami Olmari | Not that it matters that much for us for now, but for tidbit knowledge | 11:34:10 |
cos | I saw invite on another channel I left with the relaybot | 11:34:25 |
Sami Olmari | yep | 11:34:38 |

chiku | In reply to @chikuthoth:sloughland.dev unable to use discord custom emoji reactions (after someone else has added it to begin with) with direct media access enabled I am once again bringing this up | 16:42:48 |

tccq | intro level question here: I can see from the mautrix-discord logs that it can log in as the bot on my homeserver, and that it sees my message in the management room, and even that its PUT request with the full help response text gets a 200 response code. However the message never arrives in the matrix room. I don't have this problem with the signal bridge, and it seems like the registration works, given that it can accept my room invite and see my message. Thoughts? | 00:46:24 |

tccq | huh. That worked. How did it get ignored in the first place đŸ¤” Thanks anyway | 05:38:09 |

TLH | How do I use spoiler tags through mautrix-discord? I can see that HTML from discord shows data-mx-spoiler but how do I set that up in element/other matrix clients? | 14:27:41 |
chiku | use the /spoiler command | 14:28:46 |
parfait | /spoiler works | 14:29:59 |
parfait | not sure about other clients | 14:30:09 |
